FeeBee doesn't use any analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies — nothing here watches what you do across other sites or builds an advertising profile of you. Below is everything that is set, in full, and why.
Firebase Auth session
- Set by:
- FeeBee (via Google Firebase)
- Purpose:
- Keeps you signed in between visits.
- Type:
- Strictly necessary — stored in your browser's IndexedDB/local storage, not a cookie.
- Duration:
- Until you sign out, or roughly 30 days of inactivity.
__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid
- Set by:
- Stripe
- Purpose:
- Fraud prevention while you're actively paying for a task or managing a saved card. Only loaded on the payment page and the Payments tab in Account settings — not anywhere else on the site.
- Type:
- Strictly necessary (third-party, set only during an active payment).
- Duration:
- __stripe_mid: 1 year. __stripe_sid: 30 minutes. Set by Stripe, not FeeBee.
feebee-max-distance
- Set by:
- FeeBee
- Purpose:
- Remembers the distance filter you set on the Explore page.
- Type:
- Functional preference — local storage, not a cookie, and not sent to a server.
- Duration:
- Until you clear your browser's site data.
feebee-cookie-notice-dismissed
- Set by:
- FeeBee
- Purpose:
- Remembers that you've dismissed the cookie notice banner, so it doesn't show again.
- Type:
- Functional preference — local storage, not a cookie, and not sent to a server.
- Duration:
- Until you clear your browser's site data.
Why there's no cookie banner with an "accept/reject" choice
Under UK PECR, cookies that are strictly necessary for a service you've asked for (staying signed in, or fraud-checking a payment you're actively making) don't legally require consent — only clear disclosure, which is what this page and the notice banner are for. Since nothing on this list is optional or used for tracking/marketing, there's nothing to offer an opt-out toggle for. If that ever changes (e.g. analytics is added in future), this page and the banner will be updated to a real consent choice first.
Managing cookies yourself
You can clear cookies and site data for FeeBee at any time from your browser's settings. Doing so will sign you out and reset your saved preferences, but won't affect your account or its data — see our Privacy Policy for how your account data is handled.
